Never in my years of electoral politics have I seen such a fervor from Establishment agencies to deny me a political office, which means my campaign is doing well among the silent majority and is close to victory, but the election for Position 1 will probably be close. The newspaper, here, is all but overt, and sometimes exactly that, in denigrating me or my campaign continuously, and with any luck, it will prove to be too much and counterproductive as far as persuading public opinion is concerned. The mayor reverted to his college football zeal in disassociating himself from a campaign that his aide-de-camp played the major role in influencing, and this is the only campaign for Federal Way City Council this year, of the 8 campaigns that commenced since the candidate filing period, that hasn't received Establishment money. The majority is quietly voting and electing me to my very first elected office in 4 decades of trying. Thank you for your confidence in me. I will not let you down.
