I was a little surprised that the anonymous columnist over at Mirrorland has been so nasty towards me and my campaign for no apparent reason other than he doesn't like some of my viewpoints, that are hardly radical. My hunch is that, from reading between the lines of some of his writing, this guy is a dyed-in-the-wool secularist and he doesn't like anyone, especially politicians, that doesn't buy into the secularist dogma. I put a lot of emphasis on moral and ethics training for young people, and not only in their homes, but in schools, too, and some secularists don't like that, even if there is no religious content involved, at a public school setting, in this particular field of education.
However, for this columnist to be so uncivil with his writing almost leads me to believe he is a tad sociopathic, and not the least bit humorous as, apparently, his column is suppose to be. I have written the editor of the newspaper and asked her, in so many words, to address the problem of civility and objectivity at her newspaper, but whether she will or not is another question. This columnist recently wrote something about Earth eventually turning to dust and the need for resettlement on another planet, believe it or not; so if this guy is such a pessimist, and so starkly so, I would think he has chosen the wrong profession.
