Militant Feminists & Henpecked Male Politicians Push For Harsh Sentences For Payers of Sex

The militant feminist wing in the Washington Legislature want to have men who pay for sex to spend at least a year in jail, and unfortunately, one of the 30th District legislators, Mike Pellicciotti, is among the legislators leading this bizarre government overreach.  It's all crazy.  By the way, aren't these the same liberals that complain about our country being the world leader in incarcerations?  [Although it sounds like hypocrisy, now, they have a point about too many incarcerations.]  Yet, they want to give harsh jail or prison sentences to men who pay for sex with a consenting adult woman, and although their bills probably do not specify gender, you know very well that the intent is basically to punish males who pay for sex since males are primarily the ones who do pay, but regardless of whether it's a male or female paying for sex or offering sex for payment, neither "offering" or "paying" should be punished.

The government should stay out of the business of penalizing mere relations between consenting adults (this can be decriminalized without Nevada-style or public commercialization).  There are many people, after all, for one reason or another, that cannot easily get companions, and the government has no business in trying to put them in jail for paying for companionship/sex.

[Pellicciotti could find something better to do with his time in the Legislature, and Reeves, too, if she supports this.  To be fair, I have no idea if Reeves supports this or not, but she & Pellicciotti rarely vote apart, if ever. -- see update, below.]

Update (May 24, 2018):  Since the time this post was written, it is now known that Kristine Reeves does, indeed, support harsher jail sentences (1 entire year in jail) for the misdemeanor written about in this post.  Another so-called liberal trying to increase jail populations in America for victimless consensual acts.
