"Mirror" Tries To Formulate Position 1 Election To Their Liking

After further reading just today, it's "pile on" time at the Federal Way Mirror, but I'm already not going to their editorial endorsement meeting, which anybody with a clue knows that their endorsement is a forgone conclusion that ironically probably works to my advantage.  My reaching out to them has been rebuffed since the Primary election, so I doubt if I'll be going to the next Mirror-sponsored candidate forum as well, but that's not definite until I let the editor know my decision, even if it's one-sided communication, lately.  Now, I've been in active politics for almost 40 years, and I'm used to newspapers using their publications to get one or the other candidate elected or defeated throughout this time, but rarely have I seen such thinly disguised agitation to defeat a candidate as now. That's what election "upsets" to the Establishment can cause, a lot of consternation in places that aren't supposed to be surprised.  It wasn't such an "upset" to me, however, because I realize how hard I worked for the Primary.

So now their anonymous columnist, who goes by the alias of "Mr. Federal Way" (who should be let go along with Mr. Roegner), insults 30% of the Federal Way electorate whom decided not to follow his newspaper's advice on how they should vote, and who knows what will come out of the Mirror next?  From this point on, I figure they will either totally ignore my candidacy or it'll be more of the same.  I will invite Lydia Assefa-Dawson to a debate of my own, but thanks, Mirror, for the invitation.

Post addendum (8/25/15; revised 8/26/15): About aforementioned remarks, in the overall context, in the Mirror column referred to ... more innuendo from a columnist/"journalist," but keeping the details of what was said to himself.  Nice.

-- Mark Greene, Candidate for Federal Way City Council, Position 1
