7th Feedback From the People

[Update & Post-script added from 9:00 AM - 9:45 AM (see further below).]:

The Primary ballots are coming very soon and votes are needed to ensure that I reach the General Election as one of the Top 2.   My campaign doesn't have any campaign lawn signs out, yet (if ever), but rises to a higher standard of me personally meeting FW citizens by the thousands, and that should more than make up for signs that rarely tell you anything other than a name, not even a slogan on the overwhelming majority of them.  Peruse the Voters' Pamphlet and this blog, or the Revived Citizens Party blog to help you determine your vote.  The choices are basically these: (1.) a Union Boss who will bring Kshama Sawant-type politics to Federal Way, (2.) a clueless  Democrat/Appointee with strained party loyalty, and (3.) a Voice of the Common Man.

Update (7/7/15, 9:00 A.M.):  Regarding actions from an organization that will pretty much remain unnamed on this blog from this point on (not to mention other blogs), you get a sense of how close I am to reaching political office as there are some very high political powers in this county, such as Constantine, Big Labor, and well-heeled, radical Democrats, generally, who don't want me getting anywhere close to my '04 primary election numbers from FW, because they realize that would be more than enough to win the 2015 primary.  So they are using these organizations to deflate any inkling of prominence that my political support is garnishing.  Don't let them get away with this kind of politics -- not this year.

Post-script (7/7/15, 9:45 A.M.):  By the way, the last time the aforementioned though unnamed organization tried tarnishing me, I ended up getting the highest percentage of votes for office since '04 and the most ever votes in my career (more than 90,000 votes in 2011).

-- Mark Greene, Candidate for Federal Way City Council, Position 1

  • Ena, an FW citizen, says that the shrubbery along 320th Ave. is too high and needs to be trimmed so that it is easier for drivers to see over them.  She also said that building permits from the city are too time-consuming to get and that a better system needs to be in place to make getting one less troublesome.

One of the most important jobs of a politician is to listen to what their constituents, or the people that may elect them to office, are saying, and listening, generally, instead of pontificating on their own ideas and polishing up their speeches.  So I have been listening.  Keep in mind that these points are coming directly from the people of Federal Way, and that I may or may not agree with particular points, here, but I do realize that if I'm elected to the Council, my job is to represent what the majority of the people want, and sometimes to persuade and vote from my own point of view if there is a fairly close divide amongst the people.  My apology if I didn't list something that you told me, but Feedback from the People is going basically by recollection right now as I didn't write down anything, though hoping to be more comprehensive as time goes by.
