The Municipal League of King County is a joke, but kind of powerful since much of the Establishment Seattle Media worships them. They have at least a score of unqualified people, openly active or behind the scenes, that know less about American politics than some 4th graders in elementary schools (let alone a long-time politico like me that has been interested in or studying politics & government since President Eisenhower's Era) rating candidates for office in an attempt to winnow out those who don't meet their very narrow criteria, which doesn't include "3rd" political parties like the Citizens Party, of course, and as usual, the kettle has the gall to call the pot black, as they even rate candidates that have the smarts not to show up to their partisan, preposterous show that has all the markings of perfidy.
After I have been making fairly critical remarks about them for several years, since running against the sacred cow Dean Loganesque King County Elections Department in 2011, and criticizing their quite evident bias that favors Incumbents/Establishment, especially City of Seattle-based Democrats; of course, they are not going to be fair to me. What does anybody expect? Republican State Senator Pam Roach, who doesn't come near them anymore, also detests them. The less said about the Municipal League by me on this and these blog(s) from now on, the better, as I have already given them too much importance. They like to brag that anybody that gets a bad rating from them never wins; well, Federal Way can put a stop to their bragging this year, and the November 3rd General Election would be a great time for that. I have been running hard for Council since January, meeting thousands of FW citizens, and a quasi-farcical organization won't stop my energy one iota, but actually, ironically, reinforces it. I'm not in politics for the Municipal League or for the higher-up Establishmentarians that pull their strings, I'm in politics for the Common Man. Thank God!
