Reeves & Pellicciotti Deserve No Credit Whatsoever Regarding Public Records

Can't believe that the Federal Way Mirror newspaper was so brazenly hoodwinked by Rep. Kristine Reeves' and Rep. Mike Pellicciotti's stances on allowing access to all legislators' public records, that they lauded these two on their editorial page.  The easy decisions of Reeves and Pellicciotti to have a pro-every-single-thing access to public records stance is comparable to someone getting a tsunami warning before it hits, and naturally that person takes all the precautions necessary, because she or he has the warning.

The controversy about public records was started well in advance of Reeves and Pellicciotti taking office after the 2016 election, so they had plenty of advance warning not to put anything on their computers or papers that would be embarrassing or worst.  Had these two taken office 3 years ago (following the 2014 election) instead of a year ago, I have a hunch their votes would have been 180 degrees different, but it's easy to play valiant when you see all kinds of red flags popping up on your radar screen, an advantage that Mark Miloscia, who has been in the Legislature many years, didn't have, thus making his pro-complete-access vote a lot more impressive than 3rd rate charlatans Reeves & Pellicciotti.

By the way, I'm just about ready to declare the Federal Way Mirror the official campaign newspaper of Reeves and Pellicciotti.   When I declared my candidacy, my picture, next to the print edition condensed press release of mine, was barely able to be seen, similar to the other announced challenger (running against an incumbent) for a different position, but Reeves' and Pellicciotti's town hall meeting was posted up on the Mirror's recent edition with blaring headlines and full-featured, colorful photographs.  At first, I thought it was paid advertising, but it was actually a Mirror news notice that looked more like an in-kind donation to the Reeves and Pellicciotti campaigns than a newspaper's public service announcement.

Incidentally, the Mirror's paid political hack (Roegner), and so-called journalist, who recently got denounced by the mayor for faulty journalism and several misstatements of fact, will be putting on his Nostradamus hat just before the election, of course, and predicting victories for Reeves and Pellicciotti.  Straight out of "The Sting," starring Robert Redford.
