I have already suggested this once when Carrie Rodriguez was editor of the Mirror, but if her boss, the publisher (Hobbs, a.k.a. the new "Mr. Anonymous"), wouldn't get in the way, Jessica Keller, the editor of the Federal Way Mirror, should do some "house cleaning" at her newspaper and fire Bob Roegner, tomorrow, to start the new month off just right. March and spring are practically synonymous with "renewal," after all.
The staleness, bitterness, and ultra-left wing viewpoints of Roegner's column are getting a little old to most of the community, and maybe Ms. Keller could hire somebody right out of Journalism School from either the University of Washington or Washington State University to take over as the new political columnist. It would be interesting to see a Millennial Generation perspective on a regular basis, for a change. Roegner is an embittered, biased old political hack who could find plenty to do with his time after retirement; I hear "The Jerry Springer Show" is still going strong.
