As I wrote previously on FW Politics, my active campaign for state representative in the 30th District will start on New Year's Day ... or very soon afterwards. This will be a combination thank you tour, thanking those voters who voted for me for mayor of Federal Way in the Primary Election, or wrote my name in for Council in the General Election, and a kick-off, of sorts, for the new campaign. So since I have hundreds of old campaign cards, and don't want to waste them, those will be distributed in January and February (I will make it a point to have every one of the more than a thousand cards left over distributed by the 28th of February).
I will have new, applicable to the state representative race campaign cards in March, and probably bigger and more wordy, and will distribute those right up until the 2018 Primary Election on August 7, 2018. This will be the best non-corporate, non-big shot donor campaign in Washington seen in years, believe me.
Counteracting the pro-Reeves propaganda from various big shots, politicians, newspaper columnists, Municipal League riff raff, and Reeves' & Pellicciotti's volunteer and paid staffs will not be easy, but we're going to give it a go. The extent to how much my campaign starts looking at Pellicciotti's record will pretty much depend on how much Reeves & Pellicciotti team up together. We'll see.
Post-script: Just heard something in the background on TV about a state or states expanding the time period for certain statutes of limitations, or eliminating some altogether. Generally, that's a very bad idea. The only exception I would make for considering expansion or elimination of already enacted statutes of limitations, if elected, would be crimes against children or the disabled. I may write something more extensive on this topic in the coming days.
