Being two thousand votes behind for "Top 2" in the Mayoral Primary on Election Day, I took quick steps to be in position to set up a write-in campaign for a different office, and today, August 16th, I'm announcing for Federal Way City Council, Position 6. I only need 34% to win, because I believe that "Ferrell endorsed" candidates, Mr. Moore and Mr. Flygare, are pretty much evenly divided in support. The best I can hope for is a 34-33-33 division in percentage, with me getting the 34. As I noted in my last post, the signs and cards have already been ordered, and on their way. The active campaign will be started before you know it.
One of my opening issues will be the city's need to make the Steel Lake area look nicer, including clearing out a little brush, having better trash and recycling methods there, and fostering environmentally-conscious atmospherics that would revive this popular area, and make it a little more satisfactory to the people that visit the park and general area.
