Establishment Ploy

The Mirror & "Rogue-ner": Peas In a Pod

So with the Mirror tabloid (I don't even call them a newspaper anymore) deciding not to print my Press Release, and barely a mention of candidates who are running for office in the "non-Opinion" section (they took a week after the filing deadline to make a mere mention of candidates' names) -- the Mirror and "Rogue-ner" have become one in the same, and have effectively certified their status as journo-activists rather than journalists.  Their tactics are nothing less than an old-fashioned Establishment ploy of trying to whittle candidates out of contention before the voters get a chance to do it themselves.  In other words, tabloids trying to be kingmakers rather than reporters.  I think the majority of the Citizens of Federal Way are not so gullible to fall for that.  Enough said about the Mirror, however, as Federal Way is definitely a good-sized city in 2017, but not so big that I cannot get my message out without the objectivity of the city's sole tabloid.   As a working-class mayoral candidate, my biggest hurdle is time, not non-coverage by the Establishment that despises the working class.

-- Mark Greene, Official Candidate for Mayor of Federal Way
