Fake News

Surprise, surprise, surprise!  The Federal Way Mirror newspaper did not print my press release, although they printed mayoral challenger Susan Honda's release when she submitted it in February, and Jim Ferrell's press release in January.  These are not journalists, but journo-activists trying to effect goals and outcomes.  And today, their columnist, "Rogue-ner" (Bob Roegner), lied by saying that the mayor's race was between Ferrell and Honda, and said that I was just somebody that joined in (amazingly, in light of that statement, "Rogue-ner" had written that I was Ferrell's only challenger in one of his earlier articles this year, and sure enough, Honda got her press release out a week-or-so later).  After all, I filed my intention to run for mayor with the Public Disclosure Commission long before Honda did, so if anybody joined in, she did.

As usual, I want to thank these fake news detractors, such as the Mirror and the Seattle Times:  the latter, believe it or not, doesn't even print the actuality or the results of elections that are a part of their city's jurisdiction sometimes, as they probably postulate, "oh, those lazy readers can just look it up on the internet," or, "they don't need to know, because we ordained that they don't need to know;" because of them, the little extra energy that I get from reverse journalism is often just enough to keep me on the campaign trail a little longer each day, as well as to pull off the occasional upset.
