The Great Citizen Commoner Awakening

Coming Out Of the Long Slumber

Unfortunately for the Mirror's "Rogue-ner," he doesn't get to define who are "legitimate" candidates for particular offices in our city/local area -- however, fortunately for people's candidates -- because I am coming out of the winter slumber full of energy and with plenty of optimism about this year's mayoral election in Federal Way.  My yard signs have already been ordered (yes, I'm putting up signs this year), some volunteers are signing up, speeches for "Pharaoh TV" are being prepared, and my ground campaign is almost ready to go full tilt.

I have decided to cooperate with the local paper to some degree, but don't be shocked if they try to play kingmaker -- as par for the course -- rather than objectively report about the campaigns.  Objective news reporting, what's left of it from American history, is a fading profession.

Writing on FW Politics will be at a minimal (probably once a week) until official filing time, because all the matters regarding the early stages of the campaign and the preparations for it will take up about 80% of my non-work, non-sleep time.  I will be bringing up Federal Way issues when I have time to write, but most of the issue-oriented articles will probably have to wait until late May.  A grand awakening is now taking place in Federal Way politics, as we citizen commoners are coming to take our place at the table, and with any luck, I will gain the vote of the majority of the people in November.
