2016

The new year should bring a new election for Position 1, Federal Way City Council, as the court case to bring that about is well under way.  The summons should finally be served soon, and the legal wrangling will begin.  I haven't conceded the election, and won't even consider it until this case is decided in the district court, or the 9th Circuit, or the Supreme Court, and I think my chances of winning the case are 50 - 50.

I am a little wary of starting a new anti-GMO initiative since there was little enthusiasm for volunteering the last time around (re. I-1338), and the call for volunteers for 2016 hasn't attracted but one person so far.  However, it will be started nonetheless, because the journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.

The exploratory campaign for U.S. senator is still in the exploratory stage, and will be balanced with how the aforementioned court case is going, but I think if ever there is a year for upsets, 2016 is the year.

Happy New Year to those who have ever voted for me in any election, helped with or signed one of my petitions or initiatives, or otherwise supported me and my campaigns.

- Mark Greene, Chairman of the Revived Citizens Party and still candidate for Federal Way City Council (2015 election), Position 1
