Status Quo Council Has 805 Vote Cushion

An Alternative In the Works To the Mirror's "Rogue Nation?"

Federal Way is only 805 votes away, the gap between me and first place, from going from a status quo City Council to one that would be a little more feisty, but with vote counting going into the second week, that's looking increasingly unlikely, and the only change that's probably going to be made in Federal Way government, in the near future, is replacing Mr. Celski with Mr. Koppang; in other words, basically a wash, and Jim Ferrell, the mayor, will escape this non-mayoral election year with hardly a political ding (a de facto approval of his administration).  Unfortunately, it appears that a significant group of people were bamboozled by the rogue writings of Bob Roegner and "Mr. Anonymous," the Mirror's two columnists.

Lies, innuendo, shady speculation and distortion work, unless the 805 vote cushion miraculously falls between now and certification.  Whatever the case, I might start paying extra attention to Federal Way government, and have this blog be exclusively for that purpose, if for no other reason than to have some kind of alternative for FW political journalism besides "Rogue-ner," "Fetchit" & the Mirror.  So don't be surprised if the Council Run title is changed to something bland, like "Federal Way Politics."  Right on cue.
