2016 will be the last best chance to pass an anti-GMO initiative in Washington that would require labeling of GMO food. Since the sponsors of the most famously known labeling initiative in Washington seem to have forgone another attempt after their first one was narrowly defeated at the polls, a new bid is necessary to be made by a new party, and it looks like that will be the Revived Citizens Party. Basically, all this initiative will try to do is give consumers information about food that Monsanto, et al. would rather you not know. INFORMATION: this is all that the labeling political battles around the country are basically about. In other words, whether or not we have the right to know how our food is developed, made and what the ingredients are, and whether or not, individually, we choose to reject unnaturally made food.
