Despite pleas to the Editor of the Federal Way Mirror newspaper about objectivity regarding the Federal Way City Council Elections overall, and particularly in regards to the Position 1 race, the Mirror continues to showcase "Mr. Anonymous's" rant about me, even a month later than first publication, in which he severely insults that part of the electorate that chose not to vote his newspaper's way (regarding their Primary endorsements). This is obviously an effort by the newspaper to show non-editorial favoritism towards one candidate over the other.
Then in another strange development, the King County Elections Department suddenly pulled my Primary 2015 photograph from their on-line website, and have a caption under my name that says "No photo submitted," which is ridiculous considering that the photo was shown for months on their site (Primary pamphlet section) and printed in the print edition of the Primary voters' pamphlet. The photo was taken in 2012, so well within the 5 year administrative regulation for the age of photos.
Every moment that I spend trying to figure out what this is all about, and whether this portends something negative about what they're going to do to the General Election voters' pamphlet, is time spent away from the actual election campaign, and helping my opponent. I am really hoping that I don't find myself, or a lawyer appointed by me, filing papers in King County Municipal Court over this, because that would really be time-consuming and suddenly this campaign would be battling two agencies effectively helping the Assefa-Dawson campaign. By the way, Zack Hudgins, candidate for Director of Elections, curiously doesn't appear the least bit interested in this development since I wrote his campaign a few days ago. [Update: 10/21/15: The Revived Citizens Party is supporting Julie Wise for Director of Elections in the General Election.]
