I understand
our history, our culture and have and will continue to live up to the tenets of
the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States, and the Gettysburg Address. I
have studied government for a long time, since Dwight Eisenhower's time,
actually, and no little crowd from the Municipal League, which by the way has a
foreign segment to it, has the stature to belittle me or make me feel
unwanted -- a few thousand great voters in July and August made that statement true -- and I am convinced that Americans are going to hear me out for the rest of this campaign, and lead me to my first elected office in 39 years of trying.
