The Primary campaign is coming down to its final days, and I would like to take this time to emphasize the importance of supporters of this campaign to vote in both #1.) the Primary, with ballots being mailed out in mid-July, and #2.) the General Election, with ballots going out in mid-October. Relating to this double support, one without the other would be practically useless, and perhaps totally useless for the purposes of electing this campaign of, for and by the Common Man. Including the 2014 campaign in challenging Adam Smith for representative, I have really been campaigning and meeting the people of Federal Way for a total of an entire year, from Nov. of 2013 to this present date, not including time off for holidays and the early winter seasons of '14 and '15, so it's not a question of whether voters know me or not, i.e., name identification, it's really a question of whether my platform of competence in government, focusing on the people's issues and concerns, and not spending taxpayers' money extravagantly will be popular enough to make it through the Primary and win the General Election.

Updated: The text summary about the voters' pamphlet in the right column of this blog now includes a link to "Voters' Pamphlet Statement II," a condensed version of my voters' guide statement for the Primary Election. The full statement will come out when the King County Elections Dept. publishes all candidates' Primary Election statements, and that is expected to come in a few days, or a little longer.
One of the most important jobs of a politician is to listen to what their constituents, or the people that may elect them to office, are saying, and listening, generally, instead of pontificating on their own ideas and polishing up their speeches. So I have been listening. Keep in mind that these points are coming directly from the people of Federal Way, and that I may or may not agree with particular points, here, but I do realize that if I'm elected to the Council, my job is to represent what the majority of the people want, and sometimes to persuade and vote from my own point of view if there is a fairly close divide amongst the people. My apology if I didn't list something that you told me, but Feedback from the People is going basically by recollection right now as I didn't write down anything, though hoping to be more comprehensive as time goes by.

Feedback from the People:
- One woman is against the "Voting Rights Act," that's being debated in the Washington Legislature. She said, in so many words, that it would be a warping of democracy resulting from demographic quotas that go beyond mere formal geographical district boundaries and the total number of people within a particular jurisdiction. The lady said this would be a usurpation of one man, one vote.
- A man said that there are not enough police officers patrolling city parks, especially when special events are going on. The implication was that FW's population is increasing and that the number of officers needs to be increased as well so that FW can maintain, at least, the same number of officers per capita.
