Mark Greene Ran Against Adam Smith Twice

Mark Greene challenged long-time congressman, Adam Smith, for the 9th Congressional district representative seat twice in his career, once in 2004, and most recently in 2014.

In the first election ('04), Greene received 47% of the vote, by official count.  In '14, Greene received nearly 3000 votes in an all-party 4-person race.  The Stranger (a tabloid), which always endorses Smith, described Smith as an "effective liberal."  Well, at least the liberal description is correct.

Greene is now a candidate for Federal Way City Council, position #1.
