The Bright Side

I'm not going to lie, I was really hoping to get through the filing season without a real primary.  Even though I won't be getting a free ticket to the General Election, now, there are some advantages to having a real primary, as noted below:

  1. It is going to look better for me in the General Election if I have won something, lately, so by winning the unofficial G.O.P. Primary, I can claim a victory before heading into the ultimate contest with Kristine Reeves (there is no doubt that Reeves will be in the General Election).
  2. With a real primary, there will be more news coverage, and therefore more name recognition and more acknowledgement that I'm the real conservative in this race, especially regarding social matters.
  3. If this new candidate turns out to be Establishment, then this primary will more clearly identify me as the Common Man's candidate.
  4. This was more or less mentioned in the last post, but now I won't be saving up literature or signs, nor have the luxury to run pretty much casually until after the Primary.  Now, I have to go full blast this spring, like it or not; at least that's plenty reminder to get me off the couch when I feel like singing "Tomorrow."
