The Mark Greene for Mayor of Federal Way campaign is starting to look a little less exploratory and a little more actual with every passing day, and will soon be purchasing some signs and buttons for the campaign. The '15 Council campaign relied on cards, pretty much, instead of signs & buttons, but there will probably be more of an emphasis on the visual aspect of promoting a campaign this time around. The campaign has hundreds of leftover "Mark Greene for Lieutenant Governor" buttons, and is trying to figure out a way to modify those for use in the mayoral campaign.
Changing from a former position, there will no longer be any stepping down, or consideration of stepping down, from the campaign for any other politician who may decide to challenge Ferrell (so there might be a primary next year), as a result of the politicians who put their names on recent unfortunate anti-apartment votes in the Council.
Regarding the title of this blog, there is some consideration to adding the fully spelled out name of our city to the main title, not just the descriptive sub-title. The blog is not getting a high recognition rate for internet searches regarding terms like "Federal Way news" or "Federal Way politics," after doing a search for the latter term, which didn't come up until page 5. This change, regarding the title of this blog, will be decided on in a week or two, but don't be surprised if it stays "FW Politics," after all.
