With just 290 votes between me and taking the Position 1 seat, I definitely will not be conceding this race, tonight, and in fact I think Lydia Assefa-Dawson's lead can be overcome, because I campaigned hard right up until this very day (Election Day). With probably two to three thousand more votes to be counted, 290 is anything but safe, although of course I would rather have the lead than not. Me and my supporters will be watching the daily vote count with interest.
Thank you to everybody that voted for me!
Update (9:30 P.M.): Did a little math: if 2000 more votes were counted, I would need a little more than 57% of the "after-Election Day count" to pull ahead. If 3000 more, would need about 55%. The more votes in the "after-Election Day count," the better my odds are of catching up, so let's hope there are significantly more votes out than three thousand.
