Grassroots Energy

I have to admit that my campaign has been taking a little break since Primary Day, due to exhaustion ... and it's August, after all.   That's why there hasn't been any "Feedback From the People" posts for awhile.  Once volunteers & I get started again, which will be soon, it will be pretty much non-stop all the way to the 3rd of November (General Election Day).   They select the leader of Canada in less time than I have campaigned for this suburban city council office so far, so the rest was needed.  After the break, there'll probably be a little less blogging, here, in late August, September and October.

This grassroots campaign can use any contributions of any amount of dollars or moral support that you can send.  Contributions are not necessarily money, but volunteering or communicating through word of mouth, social media and letters to the editor.  I don't get Establishment contributions, naturally, because the Establishment realizes that if I'm elected to Council that I'll be taking my orders from the people, not special interests.  I may be getting a Pay Pal-type set-up for this blog, where supporters could contribute electronically, but for right now, if you would like to donate, just send an old-fashioned check or money order, assigned to the Mark Greene for City Council Campaign, P.O. Box 25781, Federal Way, WA 98093.

The Primary proved that "grassroots" can beat "money" in this election, and it can do so again in the second round.  This campaign had only $500, but the big money campaign had 30 times more than that; yet, even a grassroots campaign needs a little money.

Grassroots energy can win the day with your vote only, so that is better than money, but both help.  Thank you!

-- Mark Greene, Candidate for Federal Way City Council, Position 1
