Schools

While reading a story in the Mirror, it caught my attention that public schools in F.W., or at least one, may be providing resources for race and ethnic-based organizations, which are probably effectively exclusive, if not technically exclusive.  No public school, whether elementary, high school or college, should be allowing exclusive racial or ethnic identity organizations on their grounds, no matter the race or the ethnicity.  This does not bring together society, but if some students want these kind of organizations, it should be with non-public school resources, including other than on school property, and with the approval of parents if they are under 18.  I had no idea about this until recently.  I don't have any elementary or high school age children; I have an adult daughter who graduated from a 4-year college fairly recently.
